Annual Meeting – Awarding of Branch Scholarships

Celebrating the accomplishments of the branch, awarding of scholarships, awarding of named gift awards, and the installation of the 2023-24 by Patricia DeWitt, former AAUW Florida president.

Patricia DeWitt installed new board members: Reesa Fassett, Co-Secretary, Patricia DeWitt, AAUW Florida, Lisa Carlson, Director for Program, Cathie Altman, President and Teri Gass, Co Secretary.

Deeh Israel is honored as a Named Gift Honoree by incoming President Cathie Altman and President Kristi Pierce. Lisa Carlson, Judy Crane and Karen Zalkin were also honored for their contributions to the branch.

LUNAFEST – Films by and about women

This fundraiser supports AAUW Florida Tech Trek Camps, STEM camps for rising 8th grade girls.  The branch has sent over 100 St Johns County students to the camps.  Campers’ families pay a small amount and the rest is raised by the branch and AAUW Florida Supporting Foundation.  Funds will also go to local students for college scholarships and Marine Science Camp scholarship.
